Heliodive
Alexis Synodinos has been designing and building HELIODIVE electric-solar catamarans since 2014. The 12m long HELIODIVEs, with battery powered inboard electric engines and a large solar roof, reach speeds of 18.5 knots on account of the slim hulls.
Ten years after the launch of its first catamaran, HELIODIVEs take on a new dimension to become electric-solar sailboats with the incorporation of four unstayed ACCWings with their freestanding masts cantilevered into the hulls.
These ACCWings are 100% composite, telescopic, coated with solar cells, compatible with the well proven automatic cambering system operating on the ACCWing Yachting version made of sailcloth, carbon battens and booms.
The logical next step for Alexis Synodinos is to launch a new 20m long design that will benefit from a significant sail power contribution with 4 ACCWings totalling 140m2, providing unlimited autonomy for moderate speeds in the absence of wind.
Construction of the aluminum vessel will begin in 2025 for a launch in 2026.
